What you have to do and how to start……..

 

  1. read the description of the projects or devices
  2. talk with the Professor about your choice and the project (Deadline for choosing the project and communicating it to the Professor: March 1, 2001 !!!!)
  3. make a search in the literature, on WWW or any other source you might access for the proposed problem, (see what others might have already found or did…..)
  4. make the experimental setup or device (as simply as you can..) make a photo about it.
  5. make the necessary measurements, repeat them several times to get a good statistics on the results or test your device under several conditions
  6. make a conclusion on experiments (state some laws, that describe in a simple manner the experimental results) or make a conclusion on the construction process of the device.
  7. explain what you have measured (build a simple theory that makes the observed results understandable for you) or the working principle of the device
  8. point out the applicability and limitations of your theory or your device
  9. summarize all your work in a 3-4 page long paper
  10. deadline for presenting the project to the Professor:

May 2, 2001 !!!

 

IMPORTANT NOTE! : You are responsible of getting all the necessary materials and apparatus for the chosen project. No material or apparatus will be provided by the Professor. Usually, for all projects the necessary material is cheep and easy to get.
