The aim of this course is to give a PRACTICAL
introduction to
Monte Carlo methods in Physics. The course is
based on many individual work and concrete examples, rather than a theoretical
approach. The course focuses mainly on the computational study of the Ising
model, but many other problems from different areas of physics are also
considered. The grades will be given for the individual work on the chosen
research project and for the presentation of the obtained results
