  • Structural Investigation of Composite Biomaterials for Hyperthermia
    V. Simon, H.Mocuta, D. Eniu, D. Trandafir, S. Simon
3th Swiss Conference on Biomaterials, May 9th, 2007, Neuchatel, CH:
Hyperthermia is a therapeutic procedure used to raise the temperature of a region of the body affected by malignancy.
The treatement is based on a direct cell-killing effect at temperatures above 42–43˚C or make the malign cells more sensitive to the effects of radiation and certain chemotherapy drugs.
    Heat treatments:
      500o C for 1 hr  and 1200o C for 24 hr
