Tunable Pressure and Temperature MAS NMR/EPR/DNP Capability
In situ capability which allows high pressure and temperature MAS NMR (Patent US 8,692,548 B2) is extremely powerful tool for various research fields and geochemistry and catalysis in particular.
The HP MAS NMR capability was developed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to be employed under Carbon Sequestration Initiative’ IS3 suite to fundamental understand and assess the parameters associated with mineral transformation and cap rock integrity when CO2 is subsurface stored (Turcu et all.; Loring et all; Hoyt et all.).
In order to expand even more the analysis potential we developed the tunable pressure and temperature rotor-type sample holder (TPT-RTSH)(Patent Application - 14/547,919), compatible with several MR techniques. The capability allows in situ, independent (MAS NMR, EPR) or hybrid (DNP, ENDOR) tunable pressure and temperature (TPT) investigations.
